Sun, Wind & A Little Rain!

Actually, a beautiful day. Rained during the night &, this morning on the way to the boulangerie, all the souvenir stalls had umbrellas front & center. After breakfast we went to Luxembourg Gardens to relax and enjoy the green space. Really beautiful with bright sun, huge puffy clouds & nice breeze. Fun to watch all the kids being kids; swinging, climbing, running with sticks, falling down, getting up and continuing to play. We heard no yells (other than those of kids having fun), no tears and no lawyers ready to sue someone for injuries received. Refreshing! We watched the kids sailing boats on the pond, then walked to the Buvette Marionnettes & shared a ham, mozzerella & tomato pannini, fries & a sugar crepe so we could also have a kir (Peter & Suki) & red wine ( Gary & Sharon). You had to order food to order alcohol, so we did, but didn't want much to eat as we have dinner reservations at 8 tonight to bemoan Gary & Sharon's last night here. The time is really flying by and I want to reach out & stop the hands of the clock to slow it down. I'm really excited about  Greer and Anthony arriving but sorry to see Sharon & Gary leave - as it's been a fun two weeks! Back to the grocery store for wine & diet coke (staples) & laundry detergent. I have to say that having a washer & dryer is very nice. The pictures from this trip will look different than those of previous trips as I can wear clothes other than my wash & wear, no wrinkle travel clothes. We can get a load (very small, 5k) done in about 2 hours and a 2.5k load dried in about an hour. Towels take much longer.
