Art & Wine

Went to the Jacquemart Andre Musee today - a town house not too far from the Arc de Triompe. Beautiful furnishings & paintings from 18th C French artists, plus 17th C Flemish & Dutch, several English masters & 15th C Italian. Right now there is also a special exhibition of the Caillebotte brothers, photographer & painter. It was really interesting and the painter brother was styled after Monet. Then walked over to the Arc de Triomphe & watched the ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which was impressive as always. Crossed under to the Champs Elysses, found a Brasserie (Vesuvio) & had a few wines to let the traffic thin out before gettifng on the Metro (Peters new two day pass, which worked yesterday, did not work today, but I had purchased extra tickets to be on the safe side so we made it there & home OK). Earlier today we went to the grocery store again (out of Diet Coke & wine) and found a new boulangerie & got some meringues and quiche lorraine for lunch. I'll try to get some pictures on here tomorrow.
